Alison earned her Bachelors of Science in Food, Nutrition & Dietetics from Illinois State University. Over the last 20 years, Alison has worked in more than 20 restaurants of various types. Her experience also stretches to include other food/nutrition related jobs ranging from factory work, farming, and nutrition education. Her traveling experiences have exposed her to waiting tables in 6 different US states and also working in 4 other countries. These experiences have inspired her to stay connected with where our food comes from.
Seeking a way to make it easier for people to see where their food truly is coming from, Alison created Narkal — a company dedicated to changing the incentives that drive our food production supply. Her bottom line is creating an honest, unbiased arena for society to share information about what is happening in different parts of our food system.
